Mike Irie is renowned for his hand ground blades and exceptional fit and finish, and this Custom 107 is no exception. This version comes with a hand rubbed satin BG42 stainless steel Tanto blade and red and black linen Micarta handle scales.

Blade: Made from beefy 5 mm thick BG42 stainless steel, the Tanto blade is equipped with a shallow hollow ground tip and spine swedge for piercing with added durability and a deeper hollow for the primary edge offering optimal slicing performance. A subtle index guard and thumb ramp provide added safety, along with a small choil for sharpening. The flat of the spine is perfect for delivering added leverage in powerful cuts, while the hand rubbed satin finish offers a stylish look.

Handle: Thick polished and contoured linen Micarta scales are secured to the full tang via two hollow tubes and milled with finger grooves and a downturned pommel for a secure four finger grip. Polished Micarta delivers speed in the hand, while the large guard and thumb ramp provide added safety. The curve of the pommel is also comfortable in a reverse grip for added leverage, while the rear tube allows for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a 3-layer carbon fiber textured Kydex sheath with integral belt loop and eyelets.

Latrobe BG42: Developed as an aerospace bearing steel, BG42 is a high wear stainless steel produced through a double vacuum melted process for high cleanliness. Performance is similar to CPM154 class steels with good toughness, corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening and enhanced edge retention.
