The Mike Irie Custom Model 114 is a tactical hunting and skinning knife built with versatility in mind. A broad hollow ground blade slices and pierces with ease while retaining good durability, and a stout Micarta handle delivers a secure grip and solid ergonomics in classic Irie style. Mike Irie is renowned for his hand ground blades and exceptional fit and finish, and this Custom 114 is no exception. This version comes with a hand rubbed satin CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade and green and black linen Micarta handle scales.

Blade: At nearly 1.5 inches wide the nearly 4 mm thick CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade is robust while offering exceptional performance thanks to a rising deep hollow grind, false edge swedge and deep scoop on the spine for added leverage in powerful cuts and good control for skinning and other precision tasks. An index guard and jimped thumb ramp provide optimal control, and a hand rubbed satin finish offers a stylish look.

Handle: Thick polished and contoured linen Micarta scales are secured to the full tang via two hollow tubes. Deep grooves and a downturned pommel pair with a large guard and jimped thumb ramp for a solid grip. The curve of the pommel is also comfortable in a reverse grip for added leverage, while the rear tube allows for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a 3-layer carbon fiber textured Kydex sheath with integral belt loop and eyelets.

CPM-S35VN: A modified version of S30V designed for improved toughness over and easier machining and polish. Toughness is improved roughly 15-20% with a slight decrease in wear resistance (edge retention). Corrosion resistance is also lightly higher, close to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel for daily use.
