Mike Irie UC-2 Urban Carry Satin CPM-154 Black and Green Linen Micarta Fixed Blade 4733
The Mike Irie Custom UC-2 (Urban Carry Model 2) is a mid-size fixed blade designed for everyday carry. The harpoon Tanto blade is versatile in design making it suitable for hunting and outdoor use as well as defensive carry. As with all of Mike's work, the knife has excellent fit and finish. This version has a hand rubbed satin CPM-154 blade and black/green linen Micarta handle scales.
Brand new direct from Mike Irie.
Blade: The hand rubbed satin CPM-154 blade is compound ground with a flat Tanto point for piercing strength and flat surface work and a hollow ground recurve for powerful slicing. A nearly full length spine swedge delivers balance and style while the index choil and jimped thumb ramp offer solid control.
Handle: Linen Micarta scales are secured to the full tang via a single stainless pin and a hollow tube which allows for lanyard attachment. Both scales are polished and contoured for style and comfort while the ergonomic handle fits securely in the hand. A neutral design provides plenty of grip option with an index finger groove for added safety.
Carries via a carbon fiber pattern Kydex sheath with integral belt loop.
CPM-154: A particle metallurgy (PM) version of Crucible 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process. A great all-around blade steel, CPM-154 has D2 level edge retention, AEB-L level corrosion resistance and comparable toughness to other PM stainless steels with ease of sharpening/finishing.
