Blade: M390 delivers top level performance in both edge retention and corrosion resistance and is finished with a black PVD coating for an elegant and subdued look. On the utilitarian drop point blade of the Arvenis it gives an understated look. The blade has a nearly full flat grind for excellent slicing performance with crowned spine for comfort and class. A thrust bearing pivot and well tuned detent provide fast and decisive flipper deployment.
Handle: A Marbled Carbon Fiber front scale and titanium frame lock back are executed in a machine micro-textured and contoured design with a black PVD inlay that matches the blade and complements the carbon fiber nicely. The neutral handle design is comfortable in a variety of grips while still being secure thanks to the gentle taper and flared pommel end. PVD coated pivot collars, backspacer and pocket clip complete this piece.
Carries via a 3D Machined Titanium pocket clip set up for right hand, tip-up carry.
About M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
