Details
NCC Knives is a new addition to the knife world but Nick Chuprin, the owner/operator is doing good work and his commitment shows. His POD friction folder is a beautifully minimalist cutting tool that provides highly utilitarian performance an ultralight and compact package that complies with the strictest knife laws. Icing on the cake: they're made in the USA.
Brand new directly from NCC Knives.
The Blade: The stainless AEB-L blade opens two-handed via the oval blade hole which flows directly into the large blade fuller which provides a very interesting style. The chisel grind blade is tough and sharp for excellent utility cutting. The tumbled finish on the blade grinds hides wear well and the media blast finish on the back of the blade gives a nice, contrasting background for the NCC logo stamped into the blade. Phosphor bronze washers at the pivot offer perfect tension for the friction operation.
The Handle: A single solid piece of Carbon Fiber comprises the scale and backspacer which doubles as an edge cover in the closed position. The scale has a subtle micro-texture that gives a wonderful in-hand feel and includes a hole for lanyard attachment. The construction is completed with smooth, phosphor bronze washers and a milled, Blue G10 pivot collar and Torx pivot.
The Sheath: Comes with a denim slip pouch for carry.
