Pena Knives X Series Rhino Thumb Stud Bronze Titanium Satin M390
The Pena Knives X-Series Rhino is a production version of his custom, everyday tactical folding knife design. With great ergonomics, premium materials and robust construction the Rhino really lives up to its name. This version comes with a bronze anodized titanium handle and thumb stud deployed, satin finished M390 blade.
Brand new, direct from manufacturer.
Blade: With a powerful harpoon-recurve profile the Rhino delivers plenty of slicing and piercing performance and is made from high performance Bohler M390 stainless steel. The two-tone satin finish is striking, lending to the custom feel. The blade rides smooth on a ceramic bearing pivot and deploys via dual thumb studs.
Handle: Made from two solid slabs of titanium the Rhino has some heft but is comfortable in the hand thanks to the contoured and chamfered design. Milled holes on both sides of the handle offer enhanced traction and offer some weight reduction. Copper colored pivot collars and dual barrel spacers offer a subtle contrast along with the rest of the hardware, which is satin finished. The open back construction makes for easy cleaning and maintenance. The hardened steel lock face equipped titanium frame lock is flawless for smooth operation and solid lockup.
Carries via a single position (tip-up, right hand) 3D machined titanium pocket clip.
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
