Blade: Premium CPM 154 stainless steel is finished with a beautiful, hand rubbed satin finish and a subtle polished swedge where the spine meets the wedge-like point of the Wharncliffe blade. CPM-154 delivers modern performance with an solid balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance and toughness and thanks to the Wharncliffe profile and shallow hollow grind it slices and pierces with the best. A generous long pull allows for easy opening of the blade on the smooth slip joint back spring. Excellent walk and talk with flush spine in all three positions.
Handle: The traditional Barlow pattern is executed with brushed stainless steel liners, integral bolsters and handsome, rugged dyed Sambar Stag covers. The stag has a deep, natural texture that offers traction in the hand for use. A CPM154 back spring is also equipped with a hand rubbed satin finish and delivers smooth operation with snappy walk and talk.
About CPM 154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
