• DLC Black Magnacut Modified Clip Point Blade - Magnacut holds an edge and resists rust better than most stainless steels, balancing toughness and corrosion resistance without the usual trade-off. The DLC black coating mutes glare across the long clip point.
• Black Lip Pearl Button Lock - Push the thumb studs and the blade kicks open, then a black lip pearl inlay seats the lock with a firm click. Lockup stays rock-solid with no blade play, and the same button frees the blade for a smooth one-handed close.
• Del Fuego Anodized Aluminum Handle - Machined from 6061 aluminum, the handle carries a custom Del Fuego finish that blends orange and black into a flame pattern across the scales. The anodizing resists scratches and holds its color through daily carry.
• Black Long Deep-Carry Clip - The black clip and matching hardware drop the Avalon low in the pocket so almost nothing shows above the seam. It rides more like a mid-size knife than a full-size folder, comfortable through a long day of carry.

The Protech Avalon

The Avalon comes out of a collaboration between Protech and Peace Neighbor, the design collective founded by actor Shawn Ashmore. Protech builds every one in the USA, and the platform leans on the precise machining and tight tolerances the shop is known for. The design stays deliberate, giving a large folder real reach and cutting length without the bulk that usually rides along with it. A quick thumb press puts the blade to work fast enough to keep pace with a stack of delivery boxes at the back door.
