Protech's BR-1 Magic Bolster Release automatic knife has a hidden secret that, once mastered, you'll want to use every day. Ingeniously designed by Mike "Whiskers" Allen, the BR-1 has a textured bolster that acts as the actuator, lock and release. Simply apply pressure with your thumb to the right to open and close using the Magic Bolster. This version comes with a black DLC coated blade and striking, brushed satin finished Copper inlay.

Blade: This common drop point provides ultimate daily utility built from easy-sharpening 154CM stainless steel. It's flat ground with a subtle upper swedge and finished with a Black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating for superior protection. Move the textured bolster ever so slightly up or to the right for fast, reliable automatic action. Once deployed, it's held solidly in place until you again move the bolster up unlocking the blade to fold closed. It's Magic!

Handle: Comfortably contoured hard coat black anodized aluminum has a hand rubbed satin finished Copper inlay on the front for an eye-catching look and solid feel in the hand. The magic bolster is textured for grip and connected to a long silver back spring lock bar. A generous hole at the pommel is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only, black DLC coated deep carry pocket clip.
