Protech's BR-1CA is a California legal version of the popular Magic Bolster Release automatic knife which has a hidden secret that, once you've mastered, you'll want with you every day. Ingeniously designed by Mike "Whiskers" Allen, the BR-1CA has a bolster that acts as the actuator, lock and release. Simply apply pressure with your thumb to the right to open and close using the Magic Bolster. This BR-1CA.3 version comes with a compact, CA legal Stonewashed blade, black handles and textured bolster.

Blade: A classic drop point blade provides ultimate daily utility, built from easy-sharpening 154CM stainless steel. Nearly full flat ground with a subtle top swedge, the blade is finished with a rugged stone wash for hiding the wear from daily use. Move the textured bolster ever so slightly up toward the spine for fast, reliable automatic action. Once deployed, it's held solidly in place until you again move the bolster up unlocking the blade to fold closed. This CA legal version comes with a sub-2" blade that gets the job done.

Handle: Comfortably contoured hard coat, black anodized aluminum creates lightweight durability over the long haul. The magic bolster is textured to get a grip, connected to the long back spring lock bar for reliable operation. The full size handle delivers optimal control and security in the hand. Construction is rounded out with a generous lanyard hole and satin hardware.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, DLC coated, deep carry stainless steel clip.
