Emerson Knives has collaborated with Protech to deliver a full American production automatic CQC-7. Quality design and high-tech production combine in an affordable platform with a rugged black hard anodized 7075 aluminum frames and balanced 154CM blade. A high-quality collaboration that brings the best elements of Emerson design and Protech manufacturing to a single knife. This numbered limited production run straight from the USN Gathering XIII comes with a black blade and frame topped with a black and toxic green G10 scale milled with the "GXIII" logo.

Blade: Paired with a razor sharp chisel grind, the Tanto point delivers high-level durability while still providing solid cutting ability. Made from American 154CM stainless steel the blade comes equipped with a durable, non-reflective black DLC coating. The chisel, mid-height saber grind offers a balance of strength and performance perfect for this tactical design. The blade deploys with decisive automatic action via the button operated coil spring mechanism.

Handle: A super tough frame of black, military grade Class III hard anodized 7075 aluminum pairs with a layered G10 top to form a solid handle with strategic jimping and "GXIII" logo milling for traction. This handle is secure and comfortable in a variety of grips and keeps the overall weight under 4 ounces for ease of carry. Smooth, reliable and intuitive, the button lock mechanism delivers secure operation during use. The frame is marked with the production number.

Carries via a right-hand, Emerson-style stainless steel clip.

Crucible 154CM: Originally developed as a stainless bearing steel, 154CM is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum that offers improved resistance to pitting from corrosion, higher hardness for better edge retention and toughness similar to 440C. Similar to Hitachi ATS-34.
