Protech Emerson CQC-7 Black Tanto Blade Automatic Knife E7T03

This snappy collaboration between Emerson and Protech Knives is lightweight, tactical, intimidating and just plain cool. Its strong black aluminum handle is flat with a blasted texture. The Tanto point blade is chisel ground with a black DLC coated finish. The blade flies out the side via an automatic push-button opening system.

Blade: Classic Emerson chisel ground tanto blade features a super sharp straight plain cutting edge and Emerson Knives logo. The blade is coated with a matte black DLC that complements the handle for a subdued and discreet look. It has all the look and feel of the classic Emerson with a finish you'll definitely appreciate. American Made 154CM stainless steel offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and easy field sharpening. The jimped thumb ramp adds traction and provides good indexing. The blade deploys in a flash with a simple press of the matte grey blasted button opener located just below the pivot screw on the show side of the handle. That button also locks the blade in place when in use. To close, simply press in the button again and fold the blade back into the handle.

Handle: 6061-T6 aluminum is aircraft grade for superior strength to weight ratio. These are thick slabs with a strength-increasing black anodized finish patterned in the classic CQC-7 grip. Protech added notching on the spine to extend the thumb ramp off the blade for more controlled cutting. Includes an Emerson-style, long black pocket clip setup for right hand tip-up carry. Construction is rounded out with a lanyard hole and matte grey hardware.
