Protech Emerson CQC-7 Serrated Tanto Automatic Knife E7T08

This snappy collaboration between Emerson and Protech Knives is lightweight, tactical, intimidating and just plain cool. Its strong black aluminum handle is has received a full knurling grip while the familiar "B" tanto chisel blade is part serrated and flies out the side via an automatic push-button opening system.

The Blade: Classic Emerson chisel ground tanto blade features partial serrations like crazy sharp teeth on the cutting edge and Emerson Knives logo. The killer finish on this one is dark as night. The entire blade, minus the cutting edge, has a black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) for stealthy non-reflectivity. It has all the look and feel of the classic Emerson with a sick finish you'll definitely appreciate. Traditional easy-field-sharpening 154CM American Made steel is present with an elevated, notched thumb ramp reminiscent of the Wave. It deploys in a flash with a simple press of the matte grey blasted button opener located just below the pivot screw on the show side of the handle. That button also locks the blade in place when in use. To close, simply press in the button again and fold the blade back into the handle. This version sports a secondary safety slide just below the button. Activate by sliding it up in the closed position to completely negate accidental firing. 

The Handle: 6061-T6 aluminum is aircraft grade for superior strength to weight ratio. These are thick slabs with a strength-increasing black anodized finish with textured knurling and fashioned in the classic CQC-7 grip. Protech added extensive notching on the spine to sort of extend the thumb ramp off the blade for more controlled cutting. This baby includes an Emerson-styled long black pocket clip on the back for right hand tip up or down carry, a lanyard hole and matte grey hardware.

Ships with a black Nylon Protech belt sheath for optional carry.
