Blade: A classic, utilitarian Spear Point profile the blade of the CQC-7A offers a good balance of durability and cutting performance. Made from American 154CM stainless steel, the blade is Acid Wash finished, with a rugged, heavy tumble for a great looking, wear hiding, discreetly non-reflective finish. 154CM is an excellent working steel proving a good balance of performance. The mid-height saber grind offers a good mix of strength and slicing performance that is a perfect fit with this tactical design. The blade deploys smooth and fast via a button operated coil spring mechanism.

Handle: The classic Emerson handle design is retained and made from super tough 7075 aluminum with a black, Class III, military grade hard anodization. The standard aluminum top has been replaced with textured Green Micarta, exclusive to GPKnives, for a great look and feel. Part of the scale is left smooth creating an integral bolster while the diamond texturing delivers a secure grip even when wet. Jimping from the thumb ramp extends down the spine of the handle for added traction and control. This handle is secure and comfortable in a variety of grip positions and helps to keep the knife under 4 ounces for a great everyday carry weight. Smooth, reliable and intuitive the button lock mechanism delivers secure operation during use. A generous hole at the pommel end is provided for secure lanyard attachment. Construction is finished with matte gray, blasted hardware.
