The Protech Knives Godfather is a classic automatic folder inspired by traditional Italian folding Stilettos. Protech combines American innovation, contemporary materials and premium high-tech manufacturing to offer this time-honoured design with modern performance. This SWAT version comes with a full "blackout" finish including the partially serrated, DLC coated 154CM blade, aluminum handle, hardware and clip.

Blade: A 4" long American 154CM stainless steel blade offers plenty of cutting edge for cutting tasks, while the nearly full length swedge delivers an exceptionally fine point for top-end piercing performance. A durable black DLC coating provides added protection against corrosion and reduces reflectivity to maintain light discipline standards in use. Automatic deployment is fast, smooth and reliable thanks to a button operated coil spring mechanism for quick access when the seconds count. The clean slicing plain edge is paired with a short section of aggressive serrations that make quick work of tough, fibrous materials.

Handle: A contoured, coffin-shaped handle made of black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum provides a comfortable in-hand feel in a variety of grips and deploys smoothly from the pocket for use. The button lock mechanism is rock solid for reliable security and smooth in operation. Fully blacked out construction includes firing button, pivot, pocket clip and screws.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up black stainless steel pocket clip. 

Crucible 154CM: Originally developed as a stainless bearing steel, 154CM is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum that offers improved resistance to pitting from corrosion, higher hardness for better edge retention and toughness similar to 440C. Similar to Hitachi ATS-34.
