The Protech Knives SBR (Short Bladed Rockeye) is a utilitarian, compact, every-day-carry version of the Les George iconic Rockeye model, retaining the classic design in a smaller package. The SBR has the same American innovations as the Rockeye, featuring modern materials, high-tech manufacturing, advanced coil spring mechanism, and quality American production. This blackout version has a black DLC coated S35VN blade, with matching machine textured show side aluminum handle and hardware.

Blade: The SBR comes with an EDC friendly +2.5 inch blade of CPM-S35VN stainless steel marked with the George logo. It has plenty of cutting edge for utility work while retaining its classic full-bellied lines. A long swedge delivers a fine point for piercing while a durable, black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) resists wear and corrosion while being discreetly non-reflective. The blade deploys via a button operated coil spring mechanism that is fast and smooth, giving you quick access when the seconds count.

Handle: The ergonomic, hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle provides an ergonomic feel in a variety of grips with show side knurling for exceptional traction in hand. The button lock mechanism provides reliable lockup and smooth operation. The button, clip, and hardware are black coated, complementing the blade.

Carries via a right-hand DLC stainless steel deep carry clip.

CPM-S35VN: Modified CPM-S30V designed for improved toughness (15-20%) and ease of machining and polishing. Well-balanced for daily use, S35VN has better edge retention and toughness compared to 440C or VG10, with equivalent corrosion resistance.
