The Protech Knives Sprint 2945 is a California Legal automatic knife that is one of the lightest and thinnest automatic knives available. This is a high performance Gentleman's automatic that carries like a feather and performs like a razor. The Sprint features all the modern materials, high tech manufacturing, advanced coil spring mechanism, and American production quality that Protech prides itself on. This model of the Sprint has a black DLC coated, plain edge blade made from CPM S35VN and Green Hard Anodized aluminum handles with a Black G10 inlay on the front.

Blade: The Sprint comes with a California Legal, sub-2" blade made of American CPM S35VN stainless steel. S35VN provides a great balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness making it an excellent choice for all around use. A mid-length swedge gives the Sprint a fine point that can be used for detailed cutting tasks. The blade has a long wearing black DLC coating that gives great protection against corrosion and reduces reflectivity. The blade deploys via a button operated coil spring mechanism that is fast and smooth for easy one-handed operation.
Handle: A contoured, tapered handle made of OD Green 6061-T6 Hard Anodized aluminum keeps the Sprint compact and lightweight while still providing plenty of grip for secure use. This version comes with a high-traction Black G10 inlay for enhanced grip. The Sprint is as at home in a pair of dress pants as it is in jeans making it a great choice no matter where you are going. The Sprint carries securely via a single position, tip-up, right-hand, stainless steel, deep carry pocket clip with black DLC finish.
CPM S35VN: Designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V, S35VN substitutes niobium for vanadium delivering an increase in toughness of about 15-20% with no appreciable loss of wear resistance. Increased toughness means better resistance to edge chipping. Corrosion resistance is on par with S30V.
