Blade: The American CPM-D2 super tough tool steel drop point blade delivers a durable and wear resistant blade for superior edge retention. The high height saber grind offers slicing performance and durability while the top swedge provides powerful piercing performance. A non-reflective DLC black finish protects the steel while looking great. The partially serrated blade deploys via a push button operated coil spring mechanism that is fast and smooth for easy one-handed operation.

Handle: 6061-T6 aluminum makes the Tactical Response both tough and lightweight with a black hard anodized finish that is durable and non-reflective. Milled Fish Scale texture provides a comfortable and secure grip in the hand with subtle jimping for indexing and added traction. Blasted matte gray hardware and a generous lanyard hole round out the construction.

CPM-D2: Standard ingot D2 has been used since WW II and is a semi-stainless tool steel with good corrosion resistance and edge retention. CPM D2 is cleaner, with a more refined grain structure and better strength compared to ordinary D2.
