The Protech Tactical Response 4 is a full size, tactical, button lock automatic that is durable, comfortable, lightweight and fast in the hand. At just over 5 oz. it carries well while offering a robust 4-inch blade that is functional and versatile for utility and defensive use. This Operator Series version comes in a sterile all black finish with a DLC coated 154CM blade and a glowing Tritium inlaid push button.

Blade: Made from 154CM stainless steel, the utilitarian drop point blade is delivered with a durable black DLC finish that enhances corrosion resistance while being non-reflective for discreet use. A high saber grind delivers good strength balanced with cutting performance, while the long top swedge provides a fine point for piercing and detail work. Automatic deployment is fast, smooth and reliable via a strong button operated coil spring and backed by a slide safety for secure carry. This Operator Series model has no markings anywhere on the knife and a tritium inlay on the button for low-light indexing.

Handle: 6061-T6 anodized aluminum makes the TR-4 tough and relatively lightweight with a black hard anodized finish that is durable and discreetly non-reflective. Milled finger grooves provide a comfortable and secure grip in the hand with subtle jimping for traction and plenty of real estate for even the largest of gloved hands. The DLC coated, hardened 410 steel back spacer has a generous lanyard hole and extends from the pommel for use as an impact tool. Hardware, button and clip are all coated black.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, black stainless steel pocket clip.

Crucible 154CM: Originally developed as a stainless bearing steel, 154CM is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum that offers improved resistance to pitting from corrosion, higher hardness for better edge retention and toughness similar to 440C. Similar to Hitachi ATS-34.
