Built on a tried and true liner lock construction, the Penguin pairs a robust D2 Sheepsfoot blade with flat scales and a secure, neutral handle design for versatility and ease of carry. This version comes with a two-tone satin finished D2 tool steel blade and olive green Micarta handle scales.

Blade: Made from D2 tool steel the Sheepfoot blade rides smooth on the robust copper washer pivot with dual thumb studs delivering ambidextrous one-hand operation. The high saber grind and relatively thin stock deliver excellent slicing performance with solid durability and a fine tip for piercing and detail work. A two-tone satin finish and chamfered edges on the spine give the blade a classy look, while the jimping on the spine provides added traction and security.

Handle: Skeletonized steel liners support rugged Micarta handle scales for modern durability. Chamfered edges offer a comfortable in hand feel with a subtle guard for safety. The neutral handle design is comfortable in multiple grips for added versatility, while a jimped liner lock offers ease of operation and secure lockup for safe use.

D2 Tool Steel: Used as a die cutting steel since WW II, D2 offers a good combination of hardness and wear resistance with moderate toughness and stain resistance. High chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) gives D2 better corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels.
