Reate Horizon X Tanto White Fatcarbon Glass Nitro-X7 Black PVD Crossbar Lock Knife (3.20" Blade)

This Reate Horizon X sets a black PVD Nitro-X7 tanto against white Fatcarbon Glass, a slim crossbar lock folder with dual thumb studs, ground thin behind the edge for cardboard, cord and food prep.

• Black PVD Nitro-X7 Tanto Blade - Nitro-X7 is an upper-mid-grade nitrogen-alloyed stainless at 60HRC, its fine carbides giving lateral edge stability and rust resistance. It sharpens on ordinary stones rather than wanting diamond, and the high flat grind runs a straight edge out to an angled point.
• White Fatcarbon Glass Handle with a Matching Bail - Cut from Fatcarbon Glass, a glass-fiber composite out of the house behind Reate's high-end carbon fiber, the white scales carry a subtle vein-like marbling close to cracked ice. The surface is near-polished, and the backspacer and lanyard bail match.
• Crossbar Lock & Dual Thumb Studs - Two springs drive a hardened steel bar forward against a ramp on the blade tang, holding the blade open until the bar is pulled back. Thumb studs sit on both sides of the blade, and it flicks open smooth and locks up solid.
• Black PVD Stainless Clip & Hardware - The clip is Black PVD stainless, with the thumb stud, pivot, body screws, stainless lockbar and liners coated black to match.

The Reate Horizon X

The Reate Horizon X is their first folder to land under $100. It is a slim crossbar lock folder from a shop whose reputation rests on tolerances, action and finish. Reate builds it out of the same factory in China that turns out the brand's high-end titanium knives. The design itself spends everything on the cut, running a high flat grind on thin stock so the blade slices cardboard, cord and food cleanly rather than pushing through. It is a highly capable EDC folder with thin but comfortable ergonomics.
