Sergey Rogovets Model 17 Biohazard CPM 10V Flipper

The Rogovets Custom Model 17 Biohazard Flipper with laser engraved titanium handle and premium CPM 10V tool steel blade is a truly handmade custom knife as Sergey makes each piece without the use of a CNC or waterjet machine. All of the work on this piece is done in his shop by him by hand, from the heat treating of the blade to the manufacturing of parts. The SR Metal Works Model 17 is a mid-large piece measuring in overall at just over 8.5 inches offering clean lines and exceptional function.  Brand new direct from maker Sergey Rogovets.

The Blade: Thick 10V tool steel done in a straight wharny-styled blade shape with a piercing swedged tip and copper blade insert. This slasher has a dark, acid stonewashed finish and features an integral flipper with light jimping. Riding on caged ball bearings, the blade can be effortlessly deployed using the flipper - no wrist action required on this one.  Mirror polished edge adds the final custom touch.

The Handle:  Built of two thick slabs of 6Al4v titanium, both the front and back of the handle orange peel textured prior to receiving their Biohazard laser engravings. Chamfered edges provide custom comfort and combine with the all around ergonomic design for in hand.  A lock bar has been cut out of the lower frame which has an attached D2 tool steel lock face and ceramic detent ball. A matching milled titanium pocket clip, floating MokuTi backspacer, titanium hardware and rear copper pivot collar complete this piece.  

You will find Sergey's signature with unique serial number 1702 inscribed on the inside of the frame spacer.  

Includes a signed Certificate with warranty information, T20 Torx bit and signed Orange Pelican 1120 waterproof case for storage in style.  

CPM 10V is a powder metal tool steel which provides extremely high wear resistance in combination with relatively high impact toughness. CPM 10V offers substantially better wear resistance than high carbon, high-chromium die steels such as D2 and D7.
