The Rogovets Custom TNT XR Tanto 2020 is a truly custom knife as Sergey makes each piece without the use of a CNC or water jet machine. All the work on this piece is done in his shop, by him, by hand. Every part of the process, from the heat treating of the blade to the manufacturing of parts, is done by hand. This front flipper design has a satin finished S45VN Tanto blade riding on thrust bearings housed in a blue anodized 6al4v titanium frame with black Zirconium back spacer.

Blade: The Tanto blade is ground in a high height, hollow saber grind for exceptional slicing performance with a flat ground Tanto point for added durability in piercing. Riding on caged ceramic ball bearings, the blade can be effortlessly deployed using the dual thumb studs or front flipper tang extension. The blade has a stunning two-tone satin finish, horizontal on the flats and vertical on the grinds.

Handle: Built of two thick, contoured slabs of 6Al4v titanium, both the front and back of the handle are brushed satin matching the blade with a blue anodized finish. Contoured edges and an ergonomic design combine for a comfortable and secure in-hand feel. Milled with four holes for traction and weight reduction, the front scale is backed by a steel mesh for a custom look and feel. The titanium frame lock is equipped with a hardened D2 tool steel insert that provides smooth and reliable lock operation as well as being an over travel stop. A milled black Zirconium back spacer provides a subtle color contrast. A custom pivot is textured for a unique look while the remaining hardware is satin finished.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up only, 3D machined titanium pocket clip.

Includes a signed Certificate with warranty information, pivot tool bit and Nanuk 310 waterproof case for storage.

CPM S45VN: An evolution in the S30-series of steels from Crucible, S45VN shows improved edge retention and corrosion resistance relative to S35VN a slight reduction in toughness. Also considered an upgrade to Elmax with similar edge retention but better hardness, corrosion resistance, toughness, and a finer carbide structure (better sharpness).
