Pirate legend Bartholomew Roberts, Black Bart, the Dread Pirate Roberts is said to be the most successful pirate of the Golden Age of Piracy. Successful as he was he never minted his own coinage. Shire Post Mint offers their take on what Black Bart would have wanted in a coin. A heavy copper, this coin is dated 1721 and features grinning a pirate's face with a blade in his teeth on the obverse with a skull and crossbones and the inscription, TNP for "Take No Prisoners" on the reverse. A perfect addition to any hoard.

Minting process
Treated to look as if it has been handled and circulated, this process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science, coloring and patinas will vary. No two are exactly the same.
Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history and facts about the coin.
