The Smith & Sons Shoal is a slim, ultralight fixed blade that works well for everyday carry or outdoor use. The knife and sheath weigh under 5 ounces, and the +1.5 mm blade is scalpel sharp for precision cutting. Antimicrobial Richlite handles are a perfect fit for the roles the Shoal fills best. Perfect for use as a bird and trout knife or as a slicey EDC, the Shoal can do much more than clean pheasants.
Bohler AEB-L: Similar to Sandvik 13C26, AEB-L (a.k.a. stainless 52100) is a stainless razor blade steel. AEB-L takes a very fine edge, is easy to sharpen and has a high toughness and edge stability with good corrosion resistance. Offers better edge holding than carbon steels and capable of thin high performance geometry.
