Sometimes you need a no frills, tank tough, folding knife that cuts like a razor without breaking the bank, enter the SOG Aegis FLK. Adapted from the classic SOG Aegis design, this version has an all stainless steel frame lock construction for minimal maintenance with bomb-proof durability. A flat ground blade slices and pierces with ease while being easy to sharpen in the field and fast to deploy thanks to the ball bearing pivot flipper. Both blade and handles are stonewashed for a rugged, wear hiding look.

Blade: Full flat ground, the drop point blade tapers to a fine point for piercing with fast, ambidextrous flipper deployment and spine jimping for traction. The flat grind makes slicing a breeze. Stonewashed to hide wear from use over time, the stainless steel blade has balanced performance, good durability and is easy to maintain.

Handle: Two slabs of stonewashed stainless steel are joined with barrel spacers in an open back construction that is easy to clean and maintain. Milled grooves on the sides and a scalloped index finger groove add solid traction while the flipper tab creates a large forward guard for safety during use. Smooth stainless handles makes drawing the knife a fast, low-drag experience. The integral frame lock is simple, robust and flawless in operation for rock solid lock up.

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is similar to 440B. Sharpening should be a breeze.
