Based on the original SOG Pentagon, the Mini Pentagon is a lightweight, compact boot knife dagger that makes for an effective backup knife. Easily concealable thanks to the compact design, the knife is fast and maneuverable while being comfortable and secure in the hand. Functional for a variety of cutting tasks the double edge dagger blade is equipped with one plain edge and one partially serrated edge, both always at the ready. Aggressively checkered Kraton handles deliver plenty of traction and dual guards and a large jimped ricasso prevent slipping onto the cutting edge. This version comes with a black handle and a black powder coated AUS-8 blade.

Blade: The symmetrical dagger blade is finished with a durable, non-reflective black powder coating for discreet use and sharpened on both sides: one plain edge for clean slicing and one 3/4 serrated edge for tough, fibrous materials. Distal tapered, the blade ends in a fine piercing point for good penetration while the large ricasso is jimped to allow for a closer grip for controlled work as well as providing an added layer of safety.

Handle: Durable and weather resistant, the black Kraton polymer handle is molded with aggressive diamond checkering for excellent traction and swells toward the pommel for a secure grip. Dual forward guards prevent slippage onto the blade. A neutral design makes the handle fast to transition and comfortable in multiple grip positions.

Carries via a Kydex sheath with boot clip or stainless steel ball chain.

Japanese AUS-8A Stainless Steel: a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel offers excellent balance of performance: it has good toughness, corrosion resistance and sharpening response with similar edge retention to 440C.
