With a size that is practically balanced for daily carry while still being a capable tool for self-defense, the SOG-TAC Mini is a tough, lightweight and reliable automatic folding knife that performs in the most adverse conditions while fitting well in the pocket. Made from 6061-T6 aluminum, the handle is contoured for maximum security in the hand making it ideal for self-defense as well as utility use. With lightening quick deployment, discreet carry and a full size handle, the SOG-TAC Mini is excellent for everyday carry. This version comes with a black, plain edge AUS-8 stainless steel Drop Point blade and black aluminum handle.

Blade: Three inches of razor sharp, hollow ground, AUS-8 stainless steel is finished with a non-reflective Black TiNi coating for discreet use. The trailing drop point blade has a long swedge tapering to a powerful piercing point while the high hollow grind provides powerful slicing balanced with solid durability. Spine jimping pairs with the ergonomic handle design to insure control and a secure grip during heavy use. Powered by a coil spring mechanism the blade deploys with lightening speed automatically at a touch of the button.
Handle: Lightweight and durable, the black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handles have been contoured for comfort and have milling and finger grooves for a secure grip. A simple yet robust button lock mechanism delivers secure lockup with a slide safety on the opposite side to avoid unintentional deployment while carrying yet allowing for fast deployment when needed. While being more compact for carry the handle still offers a full four finger grip for most users.
Carries via a reversible, tip-up only, stainless steel deep carry pocket clip.
Japanese AUS-8 Stainless Steel: a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel offers excellent balance of performance: it has good toughness, corrosion resistance and sharpening response with similar edge retention to 440C.
