At just under 6 mm thick and weighing under 40 grams, the SOG Ultra XR is a slim, ultra lightweight, high performance everyday carry folder that doubles as a money clip. The coated blade is paired with a striking carbon fiber handle to deliver performance and style in equal measure. The Ultra XR is a popular dress carry option thanks to performance, style, and a package that is smaller and lighter than the cards we usually carry. This "Blackout" version comes with a black TiNi coated CTS-XHP blade and shred carbon fiber handle scales.

Blade: The slim, 2mm thick clip point blade opens via the ambidextrous blade hole and delivers over 2.5 inches of cutting edge and clip point swedge for piercing and detail work. Jimping on the spine offers added traction for a secure grip. Finished with a durable, matte black Titanium Nitride coating, the CTS-XHP blade gains enhanced corrosion resistance and a low profile look.

Handle: The ultralight handle consists of two thin slabs of eye-catching shred carbon fiber housing the blade and XR lock with an open back construction. The XR Lock is solid, secure, and ambidextrous for left- and right-handed users. Adding versatility, the handle is thin enough for use as a money clip while offering plenty of grip area for use.

Carries via a reversible deep carry titanium pocket/money clip. Also includes standard deep carry clip.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and hardness of D2. It offers good hardness with toughness-edge retention balance, both being better than S35VN with easier sharpening. Corrosion resistance is closer to 3V than 440C, making it more of a semi-stainless.
