Built on the framework of the TAC XR, the SOG Vision XR delivers a more streamlined tactical design with the same robust, fast deploying XR-Lock platform and a high-performance, CTS-XHP Tanto blade. Deployment on the ball bearing pivot is fast and smooth with three deployment options: XR Lock, thumb studs or kick flipper. Manual deployment allows for greater freedom to carry while maintaining a robust construction popular with a variety of users. A sleek profile makes it perfect for daily carry. This Blackout version comes with a black coated blade, matching liners and black G10 scales.

Blade: With a robust high saber grind and Tanto point the plain edge XHP blade of the Vision XR delivers balanced slicing performance with excellent durability and piercing power. Great for left- or right-handed users, the blade can be deployed in three ways: the dual thumb studs, XR Lock, or kick flipper tab. Which ever method you choose deployment will be fast and smooth thanks to the ball bearing pivot, delivering fast access to the blade when seconds count. Acting as the index finger guard when deployed, the index flipper pairs with jimping on the spine for added security while the black coated blade provides a corrosion resistant and non-reflective finish for discreet use.

Handle: Beefy, black stainless steel liners house the robust XR lock, able to withstand up to 1500 pounds of force, and support coarse textured black G10 for a secure grip even in adverse conditions. A polymer back spacer protects the blade when closed and rides proud to the handle creating a more contoured feel along with the chamfered scales. The streamlined design of the handle allows for comfort in multiple grips and carries well in the pocket.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up only, stainless steel pocket clip.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon 'stainless' steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and wear resistance of D2. With good wear resistance and the ability to attain a high hardness, CTS XHP has edge retention somewhere between S30V and ZDP 189. An excellent choice for any knife that is going to see a lot of use.
