Partnering with custom maker Les George, the Spartan Astor is a production adaptation of his popular Talos and custom FM-1 folder. The Astor design has iconic George design lines and his signature scalloped thumb ramp executed in a hardworking liner lock platform. This version has a tumbled CTS-XHP blade and green G10 handle scales.

Blade: A utilitarian, spear like drop point blade of CTS-XHP is delivered with a wear-hiding tumbled finish, top swedge and high saber grind for balanced performance and durability. Over 3 inches of cutting edge handle your daily cutting tasks with ease. Spartan's Oil Infused Bronze Bushing System or OIBBS are specialized sintered bronze bushings specifically suited for folding knives that offer fast and smooth deployment via the dual thumb studs. Jimping on the thumb ramp offers added traction.

Handle: Coarse G10 handle scales are lightweight, tough and impervious to the elements offering exceptional traction in adverse conditions. The sweeping handle is comfortable and ergonomic with a pronounced guard and index choil for safety and strategic jimping for added security. A stainless steel liner lock mechanism provides smooth operation and rock solid lockup. An open back construction makes for easy cleaning and maintenance with a hole provided for lanyard attachment and stainless steel clip insert.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, stainless steel deep carry clip.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon 'stainless' steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and wear resistance of D2. With good wear resistance and the ability to attain a high hardness, CTS XHP has edge retention somewhere between S30V and ZDP 189. An excellent choice for any knife that is going to see a lot of use.
