After extensive research and development Spartan Blades offers their first automatic design in the Zelos! The son of Pallas and Styx in Greek mythology, this Zelos bares a strong resemblance to the Spartan Pallas folder with its utilitarian drop point blade and ergonomic, 6061 aerospace grade aluminum handles. Built with a robust yet smooth coil spring mechanism the Zelos deployment is quick and reliable without compromising control of the blade. This version of the Zelos comes with a black DLC coated S35VN blade and blue hard anodized handles.

Blade: Made from CPM S35VN stainless steel the traditional drop point blade has a high saber grind that offers a solid balance of durability and cutting performance. Non-reflective, durable and corrosion resistant black PVD Diamond-Like Carbon coating holds up to wear and is discreet in use. Bronze washers construction at pivot delivers smooth opening and closing of the blade with a simple push of the button. Jimping along the thumb ramp adds traction for added control and security in the grip.

Handle:  Made from durable, 6061 aerospace grade aluminum the handles are simple, sleek and ergonomic in the hand with a prominent index finger groove that locks the handle into the hand. Contoured edges provide added comfort while the blue hard anodized finish is classy and stylish. The same button that deploys the blade is also the plunge lock mechanism which is smooth, strong and intuitive to operate. A slide safety provides an added level of security both open and closed. Construction is completed with all black hardware and a lanyard hole equipped back spacer.

Carries via a reversible, right hand only blue weave carbon fiber pocket clip.

CPM-S35VN: Designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V, S35VN substitutes niobium for vanadium delivering an increase in toughness of about 15-20% with no appreciable loss of wear resistance. Increased toughness means better resistance to edge chipping. Corrosion resistance is on par with S30V.
