Spartan Blades and designer Bill Harsey are back again with the Harsey Folder 3.25 delivering the same great style and performance in a more everyday carry friendly package. Premium materials paired with Spartan's precision fit and finish make this a tough, easy-to-use EDC. Its compact size and ergonomic design forge a perfect companion when you need a reliable, hard use folder that carries small in the pocket. This version comes with plain titanium handles and a stonewashed CPM-S45VN blade.
Brand new, direct from Spartan Blades, USA.
Blade: A classic, utilitarian drop point blade is made from CPM-S45VN with a top swedge and high saber grind for balanced performance and durability. The slim blade has a stonewashed finish that hides wear from use and just under 3 inches of cutting edge to handle your daily cutting tasks with ease. Durable phosphor bronze washers at the pivot make for fast and smooth deployment via the dual titanium thumb studs. Jimping on the thumb ramp offers added traction and a point for indexing while the chamfered spine is comfortable for added pressure in hard use.
Handle: Compact and ergonomic handles are constructed from blasted and tumbled 6AL4V titanium for a discreetly non-reflective matte gray finish. A satin finished Spartan engraved clip insert and matching hardware are the only embellishments on the front. Titanium barrel spacers, handle screws and custom pivot complete the construction. The back titanium slab forms an integral frame lock mechanism for reliable lock-up in hard use conditions. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.
Carries via a reversible, tip-up, titanium Spartan Arrow pocket clip with clip insert on the front.
CPM S45VN: An evolution in the S30-series of steels from Crucible, S45VN shows improved edge retention and corrosion resistance relative to S35VN a slight reduction in toughness. Also considered an upgrade to Elmax with similar edge retention but better hardness, corrosion resistance, toughness, and a finer carbide structure (better sharpness).
