Spyderco Calypso Jr. Super Blue Sprint Run C52FPGYE

The Spyderco is reviving another classic and collectible knife design for 2018 with the Calypso Jr. Sprint Run. This Limited Edition production is being produced in Gray FRN with the original 'Fish Scale' texture and Premium-Grade, High Carbon Japanese Aogami Super Blue steel. An elite design that is sure to appeal to the user and collector alike.

The Blade: The Calypso Jr. sports the classic Spyderco leaf shaped blade with a full flat grind and subtle, full length top swedge. The blade on this Sprint Run is Aogami Super Blue Steel, Hitachi's Top Tier Carbon Steel that utilizes the same high quality iron sand used to craft legendary Japanese swords. An 11mm SpyderHole offers smooth, ambidextrous opening of the blade.

The Handle: In keeping with the Super Blue Sprints of the past the Calypso Jr. has a gray FRN handle with the original 'Fish Scale' pattern texturing for both visual appeal and traction in hand. A Boye Dent equipped Mid-Back Lock delivers solid and secure lock up and an original Spyderco 3-Hole clip is set up for reversible, tip-down carry making the Calypso Jr. fully ambidextrous.

Aogami Super Blue: Super Blue is an alloyed high carbon steel that is capable of achieving a very high hardness and delivering the highest wear resistance of Hitachi's high carbon steels. This knife takes a wickedly sharp edge and is able to hold a very thin edge for optimal cutting performance. Care is require to prevent corrosion and a unique patina will form over time with use.
