The Chaparral is a jewel in the Spyderco line up and showcases a variety of premium handle materials.

Blade: The Chaparral has a fully flat ground, leaf shaped blade made from CTS-XHP. This blade shape is excellent for slicing and piercing tasks thanks to the fine edge and point. It opens easily via the Spyderco Round Hole.

Handle:  Skeletonized stainless steel liners support handsome, textured carbon fiber scales for stylish appeal and a tactile feel in hand. A fully accessible Spyderco Round hole and mid-back lock make the Chaparral fully ambidextrous. The chamfered* lock bar is comfortable to operate with smooth operation and solid lockup. *Part of Spyderco's CQI or Constant Quality Improvement program.

Carries via a reversible deep carry wire clip.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and hardness of D2. It offers good hardness with toughness-edge retention balance, both being better than S35VN with easier sharpening. Corrosion resistance is closer to 3V than 440C, making it more of a semi-stainless.
