Spyderco's Endura, big sister to the Delica, has been a cornerstone of their everyday carry product line since its introduction in 1990. The 4th Generation of the Endura lightweight was upgraded with a 13 mm RoundHole, spine jimping, reinforced blade tip, skeletonized liners, Bi-Directional Textured FRN scales and a four-position screw on clip.

This "Thin Blue Line" edition honors the service of law enforcement officers with blue liners and back spacer symbolizing the encouragement of a peaceful and ordered society along with the laser engraved motto "To Serve and Protect" on the blade. It comes with a flat ground, satin VG-10, partially serrated blade and black FRN scales.

Blade: Practical and effective, the modified drop point blade comes in a high performance full flat grind with a versatile, partially serrated cutting edge. At just under 3.5 inches of cutting edge, this stout 3 mm blade is up to handling some serious cutting tasks. SpyderEdge serrations increase the cutting edge surface by up to 24% and make short work of tough, fibrous materials. A rugged bronze washer pivot provides smooth operation via the ambidextrous RoundHole which delivers easy one hand operation. A jimped thumb ramp offers added traction for control in heavy and fine work.

Handle: Black Bi-directional textured FRN provides exceptional traction in all conditions with contoured edges and an ergonomic design that delivers comfort in the hand until the job is done and nearly 5 inches of grip area for the largest of gloved hands. Bright blue liners and spacer offer a subtle contrast while the sturdy mid-back lock delivers secure operation further enhanced by the Boye Dent on the lock bar which prevents accidental disengagement of the lock when gripping with heavy pressure. A hole at the pommel end allows for easy lanyard attachment.

Japanese VG10: VG-10 is a high-carbon stainless steel that takes a very good edge and holds it well. Popular with Japanese kitchen knife makers it is often hardened to 60-61 HRC. A popular choice for small pocket knives thanks to good edge holding and stain resistance, VG10 works well with a high polished, acute edge for optimal slicing performance.
