Details

The newest addition to the Spyderco Salt Series family is the Fish Hunter. This blade was specifically designed for the demanding needs of free divers and spear fisherman at the fore and it really shows. The H1 blade and FRN handle make this knife immune to the usually devastating corrosive qualities of salt water as well as being tough and lightweight. The symmetrical hollow grind give the Fish Hunter's blade a highly acute point that makes for quick and efficient dispatching of fish. The fully serrated SpyderEdge tears though fishing line, rope, and anything else like a chainsaw through butter. The Fish Hunter is sure to swim to the top of the Salt Series. Brand new directly from Spyderco.

The Blade: The highly corrosion resistant H1 blade steel makes the Fish Hunter fully corrosion resistant and the symmetrically hollow-ground blade provides excellent slicing geometry and a very acute point for piercing. A fully serrated SpyderEdge packs up to 24% more cutting surface into the blade and makes quick work of rope, line, and anything else.

The Handle: The Yellow FRN handle is tough and lightweight and with Spyderco's bi-directional texturing feels secure in the hand . The contoured handle with large center swell increases the security in-hand and a lanyard hole is provided to allow for addition security. The Fish Hunter carries via an injection-molded polymer sheath with a secure snap-fit and adjustable G-Clip attachment.

About H1 Steel: H1 is a nitrogen based stainless steel wherein the nitrogen replaces the carbon usual present in steel for hardening. The substitution of nitrogen in H1 makes this steel essentially corrosion proof.
