The Spyderco Jess Horn in carbon fiber carries a full flat ground CRU-WEAR spear point, a tool steel most dress folders never see. Slim scales disappear in the palm, trimmed in silver hardware.

• Satin CRU-WEAR Blade - A tool steel that trades a little corrosion resistance for real toughness, so the thin edge resists chipping instead of rolling. It is not fully stainless. Wipe it dry after cutting anything acidic and put a light film of oil on the blade for storage.
• Full Flat Ground Spear Point - The grind runs from spine to edge in one clean taper, thinning the blade behind the edge for food, cardboard, and tape. The satin finish keeps the symmetrical spear point looking dressed up rather than tactical.
• Carbon Fiber Scales Over Steel Liners - Woven carbon fiber holds a stiff frame at a fraction of the weight of steel, and the profile stays thin enough to vanish in a closed palm. Silver hardware runs the trim in one bright tone instead of the black clip this pattern usually wears.

The Spyderco Jess Horn

The Jess Horn Lightweight is the slimmest of the collaborations between Spyderco and Jess Horn, a custom maker whose folders helped convince Sal Glesser to start building knives at all. Where the earlier Horn designs leaned collector, this one was drawn as a working gentleman's folder — narrow, flat, and light enough to forget in a dress pocket. The blade is long for the frame, so a knife that closes to about the length of a credit card still gives you a full cutting edge. It is the pattern you carry to open mail at a desk and still trust on a package at the loading dock.
