Details
Just like the original Nilakka, the Lil' Nilakka from Spyderco was designed by Finnish knife maker and authority on the traditional Puukko, Pekka Tuominen. Essentially a gentleman's pocket Puukko, the Lil' Nilakka is also the first Flash Batch knife brand new and directly from Spyderco.
Flash Batch: Similar to a Sprint Run, a Flash Batch is a limited, "one-time-only" run, of a new model. This is a rarefied piece with a high level of collectibility and each Flash Batch knife is individually numbered for its duration of its run (1200 Pieces). i.e. XXXX of 1200 appears on the back of each blade
The Blade: The RWL34 blade has a full-flat grind that tapers to a nearly zero ground micro bevel for incredible sharpness and edge geometry. This knife excels at fine wood working tasks and any work where a fine edge is required.
The Handle: Built from a foundation of full stainless steel liners the Lil' Nilakka has a small yet ergonomic handle. The stainless steel back spacer, and matte ivory G-10 scales give this knife a very classy look and the solid Liner Lock provides easy operation and firm lockup. The Lil' Nilakka carries via a right hand, tip-up stainless steel wire clip for secure and discreet wear.
