Details
The Spyderco Mamba Flipper is a melding of designs from knifemaker Walter Brend and designer Joel Pirela to create an overbuilt and aggressive flipper style knife. It's Persian-esque upswept blade gives it a menacing appearance and combines with detailed fit, finishing and materials to create a superior package. Handsome yet tactical in nature and design. Brand new directly from Spyderco, Inc.
The Blade: The upswept and large hollow ground CPM-S30V blade gives the Mamba it's combative demeanor with a two-tone black titanium carbonitride (TiCN) finish. Absolutely razor sharp with black bevels and satin flats to accent the carbon fiber handle. Integral flipper extends for easy opening with either hand and has been slightly jimped for positive a purchase with each flip. Rides on a caged ball bearing pivot for a silky smooth ride.
The Handle: Thick dual titanium liners are at the heart of the handle. Slightly skeletonized to reduce weight and bead-blasted to give a finishing touch, they are then covered with expertly sculpted twill carbon fiber scales. Stout, yet comfortable in hand with pronounced ergonomics. Recess with stainless pin for lanyard attachment and stainless tip-up right-hand carry clip.
