Details
This limited run Native 5 is being upgraded in two big ways; a peel-ply textured carbon fiber handle and a CPM154/S90V composite blade. The same model you know and love, but now with an improved blade steel and classy new handle. These are a new sprint run, direct from the Spyderco factory..
The Blade: The blade is made from a special composite CPMS90V/CPM154 steel thanks to an advanced manufacturing process. This process is typically reserved for high-performance aircraft engine parts that are held to extremly rigorous quality standards. This version has a sweet saber grind that has pronounced lines where the steel layers meet adding a pleasing aesthetic.
The Handle: A striking peel-ply textured carbon fiber handle has weight-reducing skeletonized stainless liners creating durable construction. The peel-ply process gives traditionally smooth carbon fiber material a grippy texture. It feels and looks great! Included is a four-position pocket clip for true ambidextrous carry.
About Sprint Runs: Each year Spyderco releases a limited number of Sprint run knives, with a variation on an established model. These knives are produced in limited quantities (usually 600 or 1200 pieces) and are highly sought after by collectors. This is a great way for users to purchase an out of production favorite, or a regular line item with a new twist. We recommend acting fast on these knives, as some models sell out fast!Specifications
