Blade: Flat ground and satin finished CPM-Cruwear tool steel delivers high-end cutting performance when corrosion resistance can be sacrificed for edge retention, toughness, and edge stability for a thinner, better performing edge. Equipped with the iconic trademark Spyderco RoundHole the blade is fully ambidextrous with jimping at the thumb ramp and index choil delivering optimal control.

Handle: Rugged brown canvas Micarta handle scales are durable, weather resistant and offer enhanced traction when wet. Full stainless-steel liners support the scales and create the foundation of Spyderco's patented high strength Compression Lock mechanism, which is lightweight and easy to operate. Open back construction provides  access for cleaning and maintenance.

Carries via a 4-position stainless-steel hourglass pocket clip.

Compression Lock: Similar in construction to the Walker Liner Lock, the Compression lock uses a leaf style spring cut into the handle liner. The tang of the spring wedges between the blade tang and stop pin (or anvil pin) for exceptional lock strength, ease of operation and added safety, keeping fingers clear of the blade path during disengagement closing of the knife.

CPM-CruWear: CruWear is a PM tool steel with toughness approaching that of CPM-3V and edge retention comparable to CPM S30V/S35VN. This non-stainless tool steel has a chromium content makes it semi-stainless, with corrosion resistance at or above that of D2. High toughness and hardness allows for a thinner edge and better performance.
