An evolution of the classic Spyderco Native, the Shaman is a larger, more robust variant with Spyderco's Compression Lock and fully contoured handle scales. The Shaman is now being offered as a limited production Sprint Run from Spyderco Knives in Brown Canvas Micarta and satin finished, Zapp Z-wear tool steel. This limited edition "Sprint Run" offers high-end user performance and a lasting collector's value.

Blade: The beefy, leaf shaped blade is made from satin finished, Z-Wear, a tough high hardness and wear resistant tool steel. Equipped with a Plain Edge and high height saber grind the blade offers balanced toughness and cutting performance with plenty of edge retention. Jimping at the spine and index finger choil enhance control for fine work while the blade opens smoothly via the ambidextrous, trademark Round Hole. A non-stainless steel, Z-wear will require care to prevent corrosion and will develop a unique patina over time with use.

Handle: The rugged, brown canvas Micarta is a perfect fit for the handles of the robust Shaman and offer a perfect blend of solid traction and comfort for extended use. The handles are perfectly contoured and chamfered for an excellent feel with the Micarta delivers a secure grip even when wet. The tapered end, mid swell, and index finger choil all work together to lock the Shaman into the hand. Built on nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners, this knife features the strong and easy to operate Compression lock for rock-solid security during use.

Carries via a 4-Position, stainless steel hourglass clip.

Zapp Z-Wear: Made by Zapp (Germany) Z-Wear is a partical metalurgy cold work tool steel with high toughness and much better edge holding compared to 3V. Working hardness is higher, up to 64HRC, and Z-wear is reported to be tougher than CPM 3V at the same hardness. Capable of supporting a very thin edge. Similar to PD#1 and CPM CruWear.
