The long awaited Slysz Swayback has arrived. Inspired by 19th century English Jack knives, the sway back pattern is a timelessly stylish, highly functional cutting tool. Renowned Polish knife maker Marcin Slysz modernizes this classic design, executing it in modern materials with precision Spyderco construction. The hollow ground Wharncliffe blade is made from stonewashed CTS-XHP while the handle is an open-backed solid titanium construction with full contours and a rock solid Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) with a hardened steel lock interface. Classic lines with modern performance are tough to beat in the Slysz Swayback.

Blade: Just like the traditional design this Swayback has a straight edge Wharncliffe blade. This modern interpretation has a powerful, high hollow grind, nearly full length swedge and is made from modern, high performance American CTS-XHP for excellent cutting performance. The blade slices, pierces and handles all manner of work with ease and opens via a right-hand accessible Spyderco Round Hole for smooth, one hand operation.

Handle: Open back construction consists of dual standoffs supporting two contoured slabs of acid stonewashed titanium for a comfortable, stylish and robust construction. Equipped with a hardened steel lock interface the Reeve Integral frame Lock offers smooth operation and secure lockup for the life of the knife. The Swayback has a solid, utilitarian build that is ready for serious use. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment at the pommel end.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up only, stainless steel hourglass pocket clip & includes a soft zipper storage pouch.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon 'stainless' steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and wear resistance of D2. With good wear resistance and the ability to attain a high hardness, CTS XHP has edge retention somewhere between S30V and ZDP 189. An excellent choice for any knife that is going to see a lot of use.
