Spyderco Smock Smooth White G10 Black Rex 45

This Spyderco Smock comes with smooth White G-10 handle scales and a black TiCN coated CPM-REX 45 super high speed tool steel blade with black coated hardware/liners. It is a Limited Edition version sold Exclusively through GPKNIVES.com. 1 per customer. Online only. 

• Blade: Highly wear-resistant REX 45 tool steel is hollow ground to a super pointy reverse tanto profile and given a wicked sharp edge. Satin grinds shine through the protective black TiCN coating. It rides on a smooth bearings pivot via its integral top flipper tab or Round Hole opener. 
• Handle: Polished smooth White G-10 handle scales are secured via black coated torx screws to black coated full length liners. Milled lightening holes reduce carry weight, add accent and give a landing pad for fingers. Open barrel spacers construction, an updated pivot and lanyard tube complete the process.
• Lock: A unique take on the beloved Compression Lock, the Smock involves a button on the show scale that presses the liner releasing the lock and makes one-hand operation even easier. 
• Carry: A reversible black coated steel pocket clip is attached for tip up right or left hand carry. 

The Spyderco Smock

The Spyderco Smock is named after its designer, Kevin Smock, and is one of the most beloved in the lineup. It features an aggressive blade, ergonomic handle and operating system second to none. Instead of pressing the Compression Lock on the handle's spine, Mr. Smock has placed a button on the front that operates the mechanism. The ingenious technology makes operation of the knife an absolute pleasure. 

Crucible CPM-REX 45 is a super-high-speed particle metallurgy tool steel enriched with large volumes of cobalt, tungsten, molybdenum, and vanadium. Its high cobalt content increases the steel’s attainable hardness and enhances the positive properties of the steel’s other alloys. The addition of vanadium promotes the formation of vanadium carbides, which provide high wear resistance, fine grain size and increased toughness.
