Spyderco Southard Flipper Black C156GPBBK

The Spyderco all-Black Southard Flipper, designed by distinguished knifemaker Brad Southard, is Spyderco's first collaboration with Brad as well as their first flipper. As a variation on the original knife, Spyderco has dressed this version up with a medium-textured Black G10 handle, durable titanium carbonitride black coated blade, Titanium handle scales and hardware. The Southard Folder has an upswept blade made from black coated CTS-204P, which also features a flipper and 0.43 inch Spyder Hole. The flipper slightly protrudes from the handle when closed and when pulled down on with the index finger, overcomes the detent and glides open with the assistance of the captive ball-bearing pivot system. The blade locks solidly open with a RIL (Reeve Integral Lock) mechanism formed from a full slab of titanium which also forms the back handle. The front side of the handle features a skeletonized titanium liner covered by medium-textured black G10 for a comfortable and reliable grip. A stainless steel pocket clip has been attached for right-handed, tip-up carry. Brand new direct from Spyderco.
