Designed by Spyderco founder Sal Glesser the Stretch 2 evolved from a purpose built folding hunter to an all-purpose daily carry companion. The Stretch 2 XL scales up the overall length of this popular back lock folder by a scant 8% while packing 13% more blade. With a great blade to weight ratio this performance driven design is sure to be a winner. This version comes with a satin finished, plain edge CPM CruWear blade, skeletonized steel liners and gray G10 handle scales.

Blade: The satin finished blade comes in a full flat ground, straight spine profile that slices like a razor with a full plain cutting edge. Upgraded to CPM CruWear tool steel, the blade is ideal for heavy outdoor and daily use with enhanced toughness, edge retention and stability. An increase in length from the original delivers nearly 3.5 inches of cutting edge to handle tasks large and small. Jimping on the 50/50 choil and thumb ramp allow for optimal control during use while the Round Hole delivers fast, easy, and ambidextrous one hand opening.

Handle: Durable, weather resistant, peel ply gray G10 delivers optimal traction thanks to with contoured edges for a comfortable grip during extended use while skeletonized stainless steel liners provide exceptional strength. The ambidextrous mid-back lock mechanism offer well proven reliability for secure lockup during use with a Boye Dent for added safety under pressure. A strong bias to self close enhances security in carry.

CPM-CruWear: A PM tool steel with toughness approaching that of CPM-3V and edge retention comparable to CPM S30V/S35VN. High chromium content makes it semi-stainless, with corrosion resistance at or above that of D2. High toughness and hardness allows for a thinner edge and better performance.
