The Spyderco Yojimbo 2 is the second generation self-defense knife designed by martial artist and Martial Blade Concepts innovator Michael Janich. A straight Wharncliffe blade delivers consistent pressure from heel to tip through a cut while the deep hollow grind is a powerful slicer. For users who are concerned with light discipline or prefer non-reflective blade finishes, the Yojimbo 2 is now available in a discreet, all-black version with a DLC coated CPM-S30V blade, hardware and liners along with black G10 handle scales.

Blade: A powerful 3.25 inch, hollow ground, Wharncliffe blade delivers a more robust tip than its flat ground predecessor. A thumb scoop is provided with the support of the full thickness of the spine to deliver solid pressure, heel to tip, to finish of the cut. The hollow grind slices with ease while the tip is fine enough for detail work and piercing. CPM-S30V stainless steel offers a good balance of performance for both utility and martial use. The durable Diamond-Like Carbon or DLC coating is discreetly non-reflective while enhancing corrosion resistance. A 12.5 mm Spyderco Round Hole delivers ambidextrous deployment from multiple grip positions.

Handle: Textured black G10 scales are attached to nested stainless steel liners for rock solid construction. The Compression lock delivers smooth operation and reliable security during use with an open back construction for ease of cleaning. The handles have refined ergonomics giving a secure grip in the hand and creating an integral guard for added security. All hardware and liners are fully DLC coated (except for the lock face and cutting edge) for the ultimate in discreet carry and use.

CPM-S30V: A powdered stainless steel with high levels of edge retention and corrosion resistance S30V was developed specifically for use in knife blades. The powdered process gives it a very refined grain, improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
