Steel Will Kobold Satin D2 Black G10 EDC Flipper F66-16

The Steel Will Kobold is an attractive and ultra-compact everyday carry folder that is perfect for urban carry and offers both utility and fidigetibility. A sub-3 oz weight 1.75 inch blade length make this a great primary or secondary EDC that you can carry nearly anywhere. This version comes with a Satin, D2 tool steel blade, Black G10 scales and Orange anodized Aluminum back spacer.

Blade: A +3 mm thick, satin D2 blade is all belly along the edge for excellent slicing performance in the ultra-compact blade. The nearly full flat grind delivers good slicing performance. Riding on a ball bearing pivot the blade opens smoothly deploying via the flipper tab or blade hole.

Handle: Rugged black G10 handle scales offer texture for grip but smooth and contoured edges provide comfort during use with an orange aluminum back spacer for a pop of color. A hole in the back spacer is provided for lanyard attachment. A single inset steel liner further reduces the weight and forms a liner lock mechanism for smooth operation and secure lock-up of the knife.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up stainless steel pocket clip.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
