The Blade: A 3mm thick, satin finished D2 tool steel blade has a subtle recurve edge that gives the knife a sharp, elegant look. The high height grind delivers a good combination of strength and slicing performance while a full length swedge terminates in a fine piercing tip. It opens smoothly via a textured, ambidextrous thumb plate on  a combo bronze/teflon washer pivot with a dialed-in detent that makes the blade deploy with lightning quickness.

The Handle: Lightweight black anodized aluminum keeps the Resident low in weight as well as price. The textured handle offers traction in the hand without compromising comfort.   An inset steel liner forms a liner lock mechanism that offers smooth operation and secure lock-up of the knife. The lack of a second liner along with the open back construction further reduces the weight. Bonus blue anodized barrel spacers add a pop of color and small steel inserts provide secure mounting platforms for the pocket clip.
